Fat Rice in Chicago has been getting awards and press ever since its opening. It’s a casual restaurant serving up Portuguese, Chinese and Macanese comfort food that will literally make your mouth water with anticipation of the first savory bite; and every bite after. Formerly known as Flour and Bones, X-Marx supper club founders Adrienne Lo and Abraham Conlon recently opened this dinner-only restaurant in Logan Square, drawing on Euro-Asian influences that come out in dishes like a verbena-poached peach with Thai basil, chili clam with sofrito and black bean and arroz gordo (fat rice) with tea egg and turmeric chicken.
