“Delicious Southern Comfort Food”
You won't have to look twice to make sure you're in the right spot--just look for the bright yellow sign with a black rooster and a red arrow pointing inward (there's a less obvious Feed sign on the building). Once inside, the seating area features a mix of blue-and-white tablecloth topped tables and wooden table and chairs, two old pianos, rusty farm tools and framed photos of chickens. The real draw at this Humboldt Park spot is the smell of the chicken cooking on the large rotisserie behind the counter. Chicken is available in three sizes (quarter, half and whole); there's also a BBQ chicken sandwich, plus the chicken soup of the day. If you're not into the cluckers, opt for the pulled pork, a burger or Caesar salad instead. The menu offers a plethora of sides, with choices like collard greens, hand-cut fries and mac and cheese. Daily desserts are made in-house (like the blueberry peach pie).
