The Roost, founded in 2012 as one of Chicago’s early chef driven food trucks is happy to welcome you to our new home at 1467 W. Irving Park Rd. on Chicago’s North Side. We’re very proud to rank amongst the few Truckers that have been able to make the move into a brick and mortar space, to date, and look forward to your visit. However, if we’re a bit far from your regular stomping ground, you can always track down the truck for all your fried chicken needs. The Roost, Carolina Kitchen, just like the truck will be focused on making simple scratch made Southern staples all surrounding some of the best fried chicken you’ll find this side of the Mason Dixon. “Modern spin” and “_____ fusion” aren’t descriptors we’re aiming for and would be surprised to receive. We’re a chicken joint, a real one and a damn good one.
Get your chicken-sandwich fix morning, noon and night at this food truck-turned-casual eatery. The classic, bone-out sandwich ($9) comes with two sides of your choosing (we'll take the cucumber coleslaw and peach cobbler, please) and a Nashville Hot crust with some serious sass, thanks to cayenne pepper and Louisiana hot sauce.
