“Florida's most notable waterfall”

The park derives its name from one of Florida's most notable geological features a 67-foot waterfall. Falling Waters Sink is a 100 foot deep; 20 foot wide cylindrical pit into which flows a small stream which drops 67 foot to the bottom of the sink. The water's final destination is not yet known. Trees line the boardwalk leading to Florida's tallest waterfall, which drops 67 feet into a sinkhole.

Call ahead about water levels! I came here in early August, and the water levels for the falls were nonexistent so that was disappointing. But I really enjoyed the park itself. There were hardly any people there so it was awesome being able to take my time to walk around the trails and such.

Eh, I definitely don't recommend during rain. We were there during a storm, not even a very bad one and lost power over nine times. Spots were very close together, one good thing about the rain. Spots were dirt/gravel combo. The bath house was nice, never saw camp hosts. I guess we'd go there again if it was just one night, the falls are pretty.

A very nice campground. Small and quiet. Nice trails and beautiful water falls. The restrooms were clean and convenient. Rangers and Host campers were both pleasant and helpfull.

This is our third visit here every time we came it never rained so the falls was just a trickle but this time the day we arrived it was raining we walked to the waterfalls and it was flowing like never before the place is always quiet the roads could use some love other than that we enjoy the stop here.

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Stayed 2 nights in 35 foot RV+tow car in 2 different sites at $27/night. This campground was alright, nothing wrong with it, just nothing too exciting. Waterfall wasn’t very exciting either. The hiking trails were small but very nice, great for walking the dog. Two nights here was plenty.

Because of the rain there were some cancellations, so I was able to get into this park as a drive-up without having to make a reservation with RipOffAmerica.com. The $10 rate reflects a 50% discount for Florida seniors.
Also because of the rain, the waterfall was flowing at a fantastic rate. The waterfall is a 25 minute hike from the campground. It descends 73 feet into a sinkhole formed by the waterfall. Along the way you'll pass a swimming beach (somehow the park rangers have trained the alligators to not attack the swimmers.) Along the path, much of which is a boardwalk, you'll pass an old oil well and many sinkholes.
The campground is dirt, requiring only slight leveling. The restrooms were clean, in good condition, with nice hot showers.
View my photos for a good look at the waterfall.

Website only allows reservation for next day. Based on one of these reviews We showed up on a rainy day and got lucky as they had 1 cancellation. There are only 21 sites here. A hidden gem with a lovely lake and waterfall. Very quiet.
