“explore the beauty of the everglades”
Are you looking for a warm Florida vacation to get away from the cold and stress of everyday life? Then treat yourself to a kayaking trip in Everglades National Park, the 10,000 islands and/or mangrove tunnels in Big Cypress National Preserve. There is a new frontier waiting for you to explore with flat water rivers, mangrove tunnels, mangrove islands, isolated beaches, sunset views, dolphins, manatees, hundreds of species of fish, and some of the best bird watching in the world. Our professional naturalist guides, the dynamic duo husband and wife team, Alli and Justin Shurr will teach you about the wildlife, tides, weather, and history of the Everglades. We have both traveled and guided all over the United States, Europe, and Central America. We consider the Everglades our favorite place on earth, and home for many years in the winter. We also have a longtime Everglades City resident/guide/friend, Rebecca, on the Shurr Adventure Team. Rebecca is also a professional naturalist who on her time off has another job tracking/researching the endangered Florida panthers. Miles is a 7th generation Everglades City native guide on the Shurr Adventure Team who loves showing people his home the Everglades and is an excellent raft guide in the Smoky Mountains in the summers. Our trip sizes are small and our guides are very personable, and our kayaks are the most comfortable around. We pride ourselves in making you feel like you are paddling with friends.
