Though Cincinnati's Contemporary Arts Center is located in a relatively new (built in 2003) Zaha Hadid building downtown, it has been around in some form or another since 1939. The museum is non-collecting, so every visit is likely to be a totally new experience, but no matter what is on display, it's bound to be intriguing and thought-provoking. Start at the children's museum at the top and work your way down through the immersive exhibits.
The Contemporary Arts Center–one of the nations's oldest and most celebrated contemporary art institutions–is a non-collecting museum devoted to presenting contemporary art from around the world. The CAC's mission is based on the idea that there is an inextricable link between art and life, and that connections are made through contemporary art. We provide a space for reflection and dialogue, where the public can engage with artists, scholars, and each other around contemporary issues. Really great museum! The building, which I love, was designed by a well-known architect called Zaha Hadid and completed in 2003. The building alone is reason enough to go, there are some pretty cool nooks and crannies, the light comes through in really interesting ways, and just overall a very cool space.
I don't follow too closely the exhibits that come and go but they bring some really interesting things to the city. They also host a bevy of conferences, talks and workshops around the year which are worth checking out.
A great museum with exhibits that rotate every couple of months. The building itself is beautiful and has one of the best gift shops ever!
This is a fantastic museum and venue. Been to a few conferences here and the shows are great. Also, I highly recommend checking out the gift shop.

Interesting museum in the city. If you're looking to fill a couple hours taking in unusual but visually stimulating modern art exhibits, this is the place for you.
As a venue, the CAC is excellent. It works really well for small conferences or meetups. When it comes to art museum; who know's what you'll find at a contemporary art museum? Sometimes it's great, sometimes not. That said, it's a "sometimes" place and definitely worth a visit.
CAC is awesome! Constantly rotating exhibits really keep this place fresh. Wandering around the massive building can take easily 2 hours but it's 2 hours well spent.
