“Come relive your childhood”
16-Bit Bar + Arcade redefines how a night out is best played. With a name coined from the computer architecture that several of our 50+ vintage arcade games were built on, 16-Bit appeals to those looking for an alternative to the monotonous. From bar-going veterans to young open-minded, beer-centric types, to arcade game novices and enthusiasts, the nostalgic and playful vibe is for players of all types. The time has come to relive your childhood and party like it’s 1999, or 1989 for that matter.
Great place to grab a drink and play some old arcade games. There is plenty of space to play and root beer on tap for anyone that might need to drive after a long night of games and drinks!
Not at all busy on a Wednesday night! The drinks were priced well (cocktails less than $9). We only had to wait 2 minutes for the very popular games and the others never had a line! Cool atmosphere and a fun place to hang out.
Always have heard great things about this place and ended up here one day when Lachey's Bar was too packed during college football season. It was clutch because they had a few TV's at the end of the bar with sports on and since the place has a ton of room it didn't seem too crowded. After watching the football game I ended up spending the majority of my time rotating from NFL Blitz to Street Fighter. As long as your drinking all arcade games are free!
If you avoid weekend nights, you'll have a blast! Otherwise, prepare for out of order games, extremely large crowds, and disappointment. I recommend trying the specialty drink the Hulk Hogan at least once.
I like this place. Fun drinks (the hulk hogan is just a Popsicle in some lemonade and vodka) and tons of games. Sometimes the games are broken and sometimes it's hard to find one that's not being hogged up by someone but there's usually something to play
So there are quite a few of these arcade bars popping up in the midwest, but this one delivers in all the ways you'd want (classic games, good craft beer selection, tons of space).
Legendary. You have to be 21+ to go and since they're hoping you drink. All games are free throwback arcade games. From mortal combat and terminator to pacman. There's also a place where you can set up consoles and play games on a larger screen. I'd say 80% of people are playing games, but there's also a culture of hanging out at the bar. There's a drink here called the hulk hogan (I think) with a rainbow popsicle in a vodka/lemonade. Need I say more?
