“one of a kind dining experience”
Italian food with heart, elegance, and authenticity. Boca is Chef David Falk's ode to Europe. It is a one of a kind dining experience marrying world-class, chef driven cuisine with gracious service at an affordable price point. Boca's design couples contemporary european and american stylings with touches of rusticity in an airy urban space. The elegant and inviting surroundings welcome guests for an afternoon cocktail, a small bite before a great show at nearby theaters, a casual dinner with friends, or a luxurious night out in Cincinnati. Boca is thought of by many as one of the best restaurants in Cincinnati. It is good, very good in fact, but it's traditional cuisine. If I'm going to pay that much for a meal I'd rather go for something experimental and offbeat. Eating there will definitely run at least around $50 a person if you order frugally. That being said, most of the people I know really love it. The decoration is really cool and the service is impeccable. Tip: ask about the history of the chandelier, it's pretty cool. And the pommes souffle are really good!
Had a delicious meal here. Definitely a special occasion spot. If you go, make sure to sneak away and explore a bit. Seriously. Check out every bathroom. They are each differently-themed. The Zebra one is a stand out.
Meal-wise, I think the risotto with peas is totally to die for. If you are a brussels sprouts fan, be warned--their's are totally weird. They are overly caramelized and taste more like prunes. The french fries (pommes souffles) are good. Essentially tasty, potato-y bags of air. For dessert, we loved the candy bar.
The host made up a super delicious gin-based cocktail for my friend that included a vinegar scrub. It's not on the menu, but if you want to be risky maybe ask them to be creative with a cocktail.
Just had an incredible dinner at Boca. Let me first warm that it is expensive, but the good news is that you get what you pay for in quality. The portions are on the smaller side, but they have a "tasting" size so you can try a few dishes in one sitting. They are excellent with their recommendations of French wines to pair. I would highly recommend for special occasions and make a reservation in advance. Will be back!
Really beautiful ambiance that matches the high-level of thought that goes into making and presenting their DELICIOUS food. Of course you're paying for it. As mentioned...even the bathrooms are part of its appeal. The floor manager made us his favorite cucumber drink (yet to be named) and it was incredibly good. I highly recommend.
One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The entire experience from entering the restaurant to leaving has been thought through. Absolutely perfect.
Went to a beer and food pairing here-- DELICIOUS. I've heard a lot about the food, but hadn't been able to swing by because the prices are a bit out of my range. The food lives up to it's expectations though. Would love to go back for a full experience.
