“riverfront restaurant and brewery”

Cincinnati's premier brewpub, located along the riverfront near Great American Ballpark. The history and heritage of Cincinnati’s storied brewing history has come alive once more along the banks of the Ohio River with the opening of the Moerlein Lager House Restaurant and Brewery.  Prominently situated in the dynamic Smale Riverfront Park, the Moerlein Lager House offers a guest experience unlike any other—a working microbrewery producing a full line of Moerlein craft brews, and delectable fare featuring grain spent breads, hand carved sandwiches and smoked rotisserie meats… foods reminiscent of those served in the city’s celebrated 19th century beer gardens. The design of the Moerlein Lager House was created to greatly enliven the dining experience by offering sweeping views of the park, the Ohio River, the Roebling Suspension Bridge and Great American Ballpark from both its indoor dining spaces and its expansive ‘biergarten’. In a city that cherishes its beloved brewing legacies, the Moerlein Lager House has already become an enduring tribute to its history and culture in a welcoming, casual modern-day environment.

I'm not a huge fan of the 'banks' area of town (the part down by the water, with the Stadiums etc) but MLH is the one thing I don't mind. For some reason it gets overlooked with all the more historic and smaller bars/restaurants up in the nearby historic Over The Rhine (OTR) neighborhood, but I have eaten here a couple of times and enjoyed it both times. Not groundbreaking cuisine, really steakhousey/pub kind of stuff, but very solid, and their beer selection is amazing - not least their own Moerlein brews which are some of the best craft beers in town. I actually prefer it to the nearby Yard House - which is a similar sort of thing.

Went here before a Reds game with a friend of mine. Didn't have food, but the beer selection was great, as were the views of the river. I'd recommend it if you need a quick place to stop in before the game.

I ate here one time before seeing my first Red's Game (I have lived here for 6 years, I know) and the food was decent, but I guess people don't really go here for the menu. I am also not a fan of Moerlein beer, so theres that. Beautiful building though with a delightful view.

If you happen to be in town for a Reds' game, this is a good place to grab some food. That said, if you're feeling up for a walk, then I'd recommend eating somewhere else. But be warned: if you walk someplace else, you will likely be waiting, at least, a half hour. Therefore, this is probably your best bet to get in and out fast. The food is a little pricey for the quality, but overall, it's not so bad. Also, if you think Moerlein beer tastes bland (I do), you're in luck: they feature a decent selection of guest breweries.

This place has great beer, great food and amazing views of the river. But be sure to check your Reds calendar before heading down to this spot, its not even half a block from the Reds stadium entrance. If there is a game either before or after this place is a mad house, and not worth it.

Conveniently located at the Banks, but that means it's crowded for Reds games and other events down there. The menu is kind of all over the place, and I wouldn't say they do anything especially well except for beer.

I wouldn't want to be here when it's packed with the post-football crowd, but the beer is good and I really like the massive windows with a great view of the Roebling Bridge and the river. Looking forward to going here in the wintertime when all the older bars with a lot of character seem cavernous and dark and I'm in need of some sunshine.

Echoing what James said, The Banks isn't really my scene and the atmosphere at the Lager House isn't one that I particularly like, but the food, beer, and view here are worth the trip. I realllly like the cheese and meat try along with their dark lager- it's a perfect combination and if you're sitting on their deck it makes for a really nice evening.

Definitely a popular hang out before, during, and after Reds games. It can get pretty loud in there during the evenings to the point that you have to shout to have a conversation with the person sitting across from you. Around lunch time, the place is much less crowded and is whisper quiet.
