Tulsa NE-Will Rogers Downs KOA

Would you like to camp just outside a casino parking lot? If so, this is the place for you.

The facilities were clean and as advertised, but the traffic noise (semis jake-braking on the nearby highway and the casino entrance/exit road running through the middle of the campground), all-night lights of the casino and the camp buildings, and virtually invisible camp staff helped us understand why none of the folks in RVs came outside.

On the up side, our kids loved the playground, and in the morning, we got to see horses training on the racetrack.

This park is near Claremore, northeast of Tulsa. It is basically a pasture with gravel roads and pad sites. It is alongside Will Rogers Downs, a horserace track and a casino. So if you're interested in those pursuits this provides a good destination. For us it was a stopover with easy access to I-44. The hookups are well maintained and the restrooms and showers are very well maintained.

Nice campground, wide open very little shade, pull throughs, cell signal is good but low data, WiFi is unusable.

Large sites, gravel roads, well maintained sites, grass, nice pet area, staff very friendly, by a Casino with a restaurant on site.
WiFi did not work but cell phone coverage and data were great.
Full hook ups.
Stayed there for one night during Route 66 trip.
It has some noise from highway. It did not bother us.

We use this rv park every year to see family. Nice well kept and quiet. Staff are friendly. Security patrols all day/night. Horse races behind you and casino off the the side. Restaurant inside casino is good - we take out a few times while we are there.

Great location and beautiful view. Great place to stay for the night, Near a casino, but we didn't go or have issues. The parking lot was a nice space for the kids to use their scooters!

Came here for a month. We didn’t use any amenities besides w/e/s and their dumpsters.
We stayed in the extended stay section which is first come first serve and $480 a month (water/sewer/electric). The dumpsters in the Long term area fills quickly.
The town of Claremore and surrounding areas have almost everything you could need. Pretty close to the Tulsa area as well.
the Park has storm shelters and security on site. We never had a problem here and would come back again if we are in the area.

Nice and clean KOA journey at Will Rogers downs Casino and Racetrack. Clean facilities and friendly staff. They have a nice playground and a good sized dog run. Lots of long term renters. Really good T-Mobile service and fairly decent Verizon (visible) service.

As Koa's go this one is basic. The spaces are somewhat level and plenty long enough. Probably half the sites are monthly renters. The park just feels dirty, It seems no one picks up after their dogs., The restroom and showers are somewhat clean. Not much in the camp store. If I was traveling though the area and needed a place to stay I would., but I would not go out of my way to stay again.
