Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on October 11, 2022We were packed in ridiculously tight and up against a train track. It’s also in a flight path. So yes this place was abnormally noisy. However they get an extra star for the amazing helpful staff. They also have everything you could need on site. Propane, gas, and a fully stocked store. WiFi was good until a rainy day when I’m guessing everyone was streaming movies.

Yeah, other reviewers have pointed out the many problems with this park: Trains, very long, noisy trains, run within yards of your site, there is no grass, you may be cheek to jowl with your neighbors. But, on the other hand, you will be hard pressed to find a camping spot with better access to downtown Louisville. Just a short run across the Ohio river bridge and there you are: Louisville Slugger museum, KMAC art museum, food, and Bourban at the source. And Jeffersonville within bike/walk distance has many attractive features. Politics of the management aside, we found the staff to be efficient, even if not overly cordial.

The spots are narrow and fairly level. We couldn’t fully open our awnings because we are so close to the next site. They do have a small store on the property and a laundry facility inside the store. There is a gas station on the property, which is very convenient and WiFi was hit or miss.

We stop here a lot, it is at our outer limit for one day's travel form the north. We arrived right before the office closed on 3/7/2017. IT IS A GOOD SAM CAMPGROUND. When I made reservations thru KOA - KOA automatically defaulted to Louisville South, so I had no reservation, but they found a spot. I was grateful.
Bathrooms clean, noisy place, but there is a great park to walk the dog. We have friends downtown , so it's easy to visit.

If you're looking for a lot of green space and family friendly amenities, go someplace else. But if you want a clean, safe campground with full hook-ups within a cheap Uber ride to Louisville, this is the place! The staff is friendly and helpful. The camp store is clean and well stocked. The sites are small but level. Our site was partially shaded. The bathrooms are older, but clean. We didn't use the showers. There is a railroad track close by, but we are used to railroad noise. The trains seemed infrequent and did not wake us up. There is a park across the street where you can exercise your canine companion(s). Also a small water park that looks like it would be fun for kids within easy walking distance. Downtown Louisville is close enough to bicycle to via the Big 4 pedestrian bridge. Our Uber rides to downtown ranged from $8 to $12. We had a great time in Louisville, thanks in large part to the convenient location of this campground.

This campground is urban. The sites are tar and back to back. But, we really liked it! We liked it so much that we ended up extending our original two nights into five. We happened to be on the corner, so we had a little green space behind our motorhome.
The campground has a little play area with a swing, so my daughter was happy. There is a big green field across from the Office to walk the dog, so my dog was happy. My son loved that the train ran by a couple a times during the day. And, the laundry room is super clean, bright, and reasonably priced, so I was happy! Also, the restrooms are clean and there's a code to enter.
Most of the staff go out of their way to help. They have awesome working wifi and Verison comes in fine. It's situated right outside of Louisville -- so a great location.

If you are looking to be close to downtown Louisville, this is the campground for you. The staff was super nice and the location is very convenient for getting downtown. It's basically just a parking lot. Also, there is a train that runs behind the campground all night long. Keep that in mind if you are a light sleeper! There is a gas station on site which made filling up propane and gas super easy. The laundry was amazing - cheap and 6 washers and dryers. I was able to get completely caught up on laundry! We rode bikes to downtown Louisville from here and had a great afternoon. There are also neat places to go on the Indiana side of the river. All in all, we had a great stay and if we are ever in the Louisville area again we would gladly stay here for the convenience.

We came to Louisville for a wedding and needed a place to stay with our RV. I called ten minutes before arrival and asked about availability and when I got there the manager came out and walked us into our spot.
The general area is a little rough with razor wire on fences around businesses. We Ubered to town and noticed that one of the managers was outside on a bench watching the Uber car come in and then us leave. They were definitely aware of all going on. We felt comfortable leaving our pets inside our RV while we were away and when we came back, all was well.
I recommend this campground for its central location and well run facility.

As others have stated, trains running pretty much all night long. Really didn't be too much of a problem.
Most of the sites that are next to the tracks are very tight, and should only be used for campers 20' or less.
Very fair prices on items at the convenience store. $1.50 for 10lbs of ice, gas was the best price I found in the area, doesn't show up on gas buddy.
WiFi connections were adequate.
Would stay here again!!
