Niabi Zoo spans 40 acres of Coal Valley, IL; sitting right on the edge of the Quad Cities metro area. Surrounding Niabi Zoo is an additional 200 acres of forest preserve, which has been set aside for the preservation of native plants and animals. Niabi Zoo is home to over 900 animals representing more than 160 species. Approximately 250,000 visitors a year make Niabi Zoo one of the largest and most popular attractions in the Quad Cities. The zoo grounds also offers a playground, a train ride, endangered species themed carousel, picnic areas, and concession stands.
