“historical southern link in California's Gold Country”
Nestled in the Sierra foothills on the Yosemite Highway, Coarsegold is a historical southern link in California's Gold Country, and the Coarsegold Historic Village is a perfect place to begin your Yosemite vacation or Gold Country outing. The Village is home to a unique community of shops for local artists and services, many of the artists produce their arts and crafts on site. Open year-round these shops are always a pleasure to visit for special gifts and personal treasures. Shaded foot paths and grassy areas also make the Village a pleasant way to spend a quiet afternoon with friends and family where an outdoor lunch can be enjoyed at the restaurant or just refresh yourself with one of the wide varieties of drinks from Zander's Coffee House.
We stopped for Wild Fig Kitchen but stayed for the shops. There's several different shops suited for a variety of different tastes. Home goods, vintage items, handmade soap, and much more. Read more
Came here during Memorial weekend. Cute little town, nice place to just sit and take in the fresh air. Grab a coffee and walk around. Very peaceful place. Love the little shops. Read more
