“Over 50 years of tremendous service”
Jimmy's Down the Street has been at its current location near Downtown Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for 50+ years. It started as a small soda shop and breakfast restaurant. Through the years it transitioned into a diner and went through a number of different names and owners. On June 18, 2012, Mike and Gretchen Surber bought Jimmy's Down The Street and have been dedicated to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for casual breakfast & lunch dining. While retaining all of the staff and menus from the previous owners, Mike & Gretchen have added a few 'specialties' to the menu, and their focus remains on providing great service, great food, and plentiful portions of scratch-made comfort food to tourists and locals alike. Also, Mike & Gretchen have created a speical "Military Corner" of the restaurant to honor our nations heroes from military, law enforcement, and firefighting services. Stop by and take a look…Jimmy's Down The Street is noted for its Biscuits and Gravy, Chicken Fried Steak, Breakfast Scrambles, Southern Pecan Rolls, and The John Wayne Sandwich.
