Statue of Arnold Schwarzenegger

Now located at the Columbus Convention Center! An 8-ft. tall bronze sculpture of the musclebound bodybuilder-actor-politician, erected in 2012, commemorates his 1970 Mr. World title at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium. Arnold Schwarzenegger, born July 30, 1947 is an Austrian and American former professional bodybuilder, actor, businessman, investor, and politician. Schwarzenegger served two terms as the 38th Governor of California from 2003 until 2011. Schwarzenegger began weight training at the age of 15. He won the Mr. Universe title at age 20 and went on to win the Mr. Olympia contest seven times. The 8 ft' 600 pound bronze statue of Arnold Schwarzenegger, posing as MR. OLYMPIA, is on the grounds of the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Columbus, Ohio. The statue, by Ralph Crawford, was dedicated to Arnold on March 2nd, 2012, with Arnold in attendance.  The statue was donated by Dr. Robert Goldman, on behalf of the International Sports Hall of Fame organization. (The International Sports Hall of Fame is a Non Profit foundation established to honor the world's greatest athlete legends in all sports.)
