Barbecue in the Bluffs

Celebrate CB is excited about the 10th Annual Barbecue in the Bluffs Competition. We are continuing in our 10th year at the Barbecue’s permanent home, Thomas P. Hanafan Rivers Edge Park next to the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge. BBQ Contestants will compete in four Categories: Chicken, Pork, Ribs and Brisket at the Kansas City Barbecue Society’s sanctioned event. A total cash purse of $8300 will be awarded in addition to points teams earn toward the total KCBS score for the year.  The public is invited to come and talk with BBQ teams on Friday evening while and enjoying the music of Taxi Driver. A special People’s Choice Competition will be held the first lucky 100 people with $5.00 to taste and judge a Wing from 20 of our BBQ teams. Tickets to go on sale at 6:00 pm.
