“and Scenic Overlook”
Monument honors the expedition of Lewis & Clark in 1804 and their historic; strategic meeting with the Otoe and Missouri Indians. Capture an expansive westward view from this historic point. Dedicated in 1936; it is located in a city park.
This isn't exactly where it is shown on the map, but pretty close. The monument is up on top of a hill, which provides a great view of Council Bluffs and Omaha.
Southeast of the point shown on the map, nice little overlook. Nice bathrooms!
Great for my fifth grader who studied Lewis and Clark this year.
Beautiful overlook, especially at sunset. We found it easily with GPS. Bathrooms were extremely dirty with no running water. Other than that, we enjoyed this stop!
Could not find it. Drove quite a while looking for it. Disappointed.
Great place to stretch your legs and walk the dirt trail in the woods. Beautiful view of Omaha and Council Bluffs.
Great view of Council Bluffs and Omaha. Beautiful place to watch the sunset.
