Has there ever been a Chinese restaurant that proffered more than a 100 craft beers? Finally, Eastern delicacies meet Western micro-breweries. There’s also quite affordable food to pair with the beer. Chef Chu makes everything from scratch and most entrees can be made with a protein of choice or vegetarian.
“soul food meets Kung food”
What is there to say? I absolutely love this place. The beer selection is unbelievable. They make it very easy to explore a ton of different craft and microbrews. They even buy up small batches to age and release when the local hype has died down. The staff is very knowledgable and can make recommendations based on your existing beer palate.
In my opinion, the food is unmatched in town for the genre. Incredibly flavorful. Its easy to have the same meal more than once and have a different experience. This is mostly due to their wide spectrum spice levels. But be warned! Don't be a hero! A 5/10 here is easily a 10/10 elsewhere. I usually go with a 3 so I can still taste the ingredients.
Also, watch out for peak dinner hours. The place fills up quick with its very limited seating. But don't let that scare you away. You need to try it!
this is hands down the best Chinese food in the downtown Cincinnati/Newport area-- intimate, cozy, laidback and equipped with delicious craft beer and awesome kungfu movies on the TV!
This is amazing Taiwanese food. The chef has all kinds of secret specials so make sure to ask your server. It's one of Covington's best kept secret.
Awesome joint! The staff is super nice, they always have crazy movies on the TVs behind the bar. Like over 200 beers (no cocktails though, but they do have Sake). The appetizers are cheap and tasty. I loved the steamed dumplings. I brought my 18-month old here and he loved it, there was so much stuff to look at and he really enjoyed the fried rice.
It's like classic takeout Chinese food but a little bit better and served up in an awesome mismatched divebar weird place with odd bit of ikea furniture, old stuff and kung fu movie stuff + random american fake asian tacky stuff. Kind of awesome, I'm a fan.
It's salty, spicy deliciousness, and it's only $8-12 per meal (not including dranks). If you are looking for a good bit of Americanized stir fry (thing Panda Express, but a lot, lot better), this is worth a visit. Coming here was like being back in the homeland.
WOOO! This place is awesome!!! Kung Fu flicks! Craft beers! Cozy and friendly atmosphere... and the food... WOOO... it's good, spicy as hell but they do warn you that their scale is skewed... it's a kick to the face and a good kick that I will return and ask for again.
Grrrr this place is so good!
The food is excellent! They also have a plethora of beer options and classic kung fu movies. It's perfect.
Want some food with a punch? (Kung Fu joke intended...). I expected your typical Chinese fast food place and I was extremely surprised. Their drink menu is huge! Their food menu is huge! The beer is amazing! The food is amazing! And, best of all, it's ridiculously cheap! Seriously, I have no idea how it took me so long to find this place. Amerasia rocks.
I really like this place... get the original kung pao chicken and ask what bottles they have behind the bar if you are a major beer fan
