Finally made it to the Wunderbar for open mic and all I can say is that this place is awesome! First off the food, it's great, get their sausages (I tried the Feuer and classic Bratwurst) but the burgers and sandwiches all looked awesome too... ps. the brussel sprouts were amazing. Next, get a big ass beer, the tap is super cheap, I drank like 4 beers for around 10 bucks. Finally, the music and atmosphere, it's dope... the bar/dining area is super cozy and not too big, but you still have enough space for people to jump up on the tables and for a full band to be tucked into the corner. They have a patio out back for smokers, or people that want to bring their dog, or just chill outside. It's definitely a fun place, with good food and I will returning again soon :)

This is THE most authentic German restaurant in NKY/Cincinnati, hands down.

They make their pretzels in house, and they are the size of your head. SO GOOD! Try all of their mustards, they make these in house too. On Sundays, they do open mic night and a bunch of people bring in their guitars, banjos, harmonicas, whatever they play and everyone gets down. It's always a really good time.

I've been living in Cincinnati for ~2 yrs and I can't believe this was the first time I hit Wunderbar. Amazingly relaxed atmosphere with an open mic corner, a bar, and a few german picnic tables to enjoy their seriously good food. You definitely must order a large pretzel - it's LARGE - and a sausage though I've heard their beer cheese is on point. Truly affordable and one of those local gems that welcomes newbies and maintains their authentic story. Will be back.

My only complaint is it's becoming too small to house all the people who can't find a comparable place in their neighborhood. Go around 1 PM for good seats and good eats. Best in Covington.

Authentic German food, and it's actually good. Need I say more?
