“Home of the Dallas Mavericks & Stars”
American Airlines Center was designed by David M. Schwarz/Architectural Services, Inc. and HKS, Inc. The team combined architecture and technology to give Dallas a beautiful, fan friendly venue with lots of hi-tech touches. From its sweeping signature arches to the retractable seating, American Airlines Center's unique features single it out as the premier sports and entertainment venue in the country. The venue serves as the home to the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association, and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League. The arena is also used for concerts and other live entertainment. It opened in 2001 at a cost of $420 million.
As other reviewer‘s said this arena does allow for you to get pretty decent view of your sporting event from any seat. We went for a Dallas Stars game on Saturday night and were able to find parking for a large RV for $15! Jumped on the easy access city bikes to ride and enjoy some Texas barbecue before the game then biked back to the arena. Inside was very well organized with decently priced snacks and all you can eat/drink options. Only wish that there were more snack options for our sweet tooth!
My boyfriend and I visited the American Airlines Center to watch a Dallas Mavericks play and we were very impressed by how good all the seats in the house looked, I think that you can properly watch the game wherever your seat is. There are many good deals on snacks, you can get all-you-can-eat popcorn for around 6 dollars, also bottomless Souvenir Drinks for around 9 dollars. Close to the American Airlines Center there are many good hotels and many places to eat. We had a very nice experience there.
