“Dana Point's favorite surf spot”
Salt Creek Beach Park is a beach park located in Dana Point, California, in the county of Orange. Considered one of the best beaches in the State. Orange County locals began calling Salt Creek their favorite surf spot back in the 1960's when it cost 50 cents per day to park in the dirt lot. Salt Creek also features amenities such as a half court basketball court, beach volleyball, and a seven-acre grassy Bluff Park, and offers opportunities for surfing, swimming, and fishing. It is located about 10 miles south of Laguna Beach, 70 miles north of San Diego, and 45 miles south of Los Angeles.
Salt Creek Beach Park is considered as one of the best beaches in the State and fairly. So close to San Diego, just 1,5 hour by car, this place is open to the public and awaits the visitors to enjoy.
The shore is beautiful and clean, the hill at the back adds to the whole image you get of the beach, the water is clean and calm at most times.
You can go swimming by combining playing basketball and volleyball at the park existing next to it, or just simply sunbath and do some fishing!!
While we were sunbathing, our kids played volleyball and made some new friends there.
Nice beach with great waves for family surfing - guarded by a great team of baywatch guards
