Forts Folle Avoine Historical Park is a living history site on 80 wooded acres along the Yellow River with authentic 1802 fur trade posts & Indian Village.
The Forts Folle Avoine is a look at an authentic fur trading camp from the early 1800's. It was in operation for only a few years. The camp is broken into a few areas, one being a look at how the local Indians lived through the year, another area is the fur trading post, while other areas include a one-room schoolhouse, and a logging museum. Worth the stop to get a little education on how the native population lived.
