“Walk through Ancient, Natural History!”
A walk in Graham Cave State Park is a walk through ancient history. Artifacts uncovered in Graham Cave revealed that people were living in the cave more than 10,000 years ago. To walk through the park’s 386 acres of trees, trails and streams – including the diverse and scenic Graham Caves Glades Natural Area – is to walk in the footsteps of the hunter-gatherers who lived in the area’s caves during the ancient Dalton and Archaic period. Visitors are allowed in the mouth of Graham Cave, and exhibits detail the life researchers believe early inhabitants lived. The park is a prime hiking location and its campground is perfect for get-togethers when you want to camp in a quiet place. There’s boat access to the Loutre River and all the fishing you could possibly want.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on April 28, 2023We were there on a weekday with no reservation. The no-hookup sites were all empty, more than half of the electric sites were empty. We really liked the state park. The campground was quiet, shady. Most of the campsites are not level. It looked like the sites toward the center of the campground were the most level. That’s where all the big rigs were. We took a site on the outer edge, towards the woods. It was pretty level and away from the big rigs.
There are hiking trails. The cave is fenced off, it’s an easy hike which we did in the rain. It’s a loop, half of which is paved.

We stayed at Graham Cave in order to watch our daughter play a Lacrosse game at a local college. The campground is well shaded, quiet and a very sufficient campground to stay. They have hiking trails including to the cave, which isn't really as much of a cave but cavern. Some sites aren't real level, but there were plenty of good sites. For us, it is a park that serves the purpose of a quiet getaway, but don't expect a lot of wow factor to it.

Was a hot day (heat advisory) and we needed a place to plug in while traveling west on interstate 70. Besides the camp host, We were the only people there. Spaces are well shaded. 30 & 50 amp available. Showers and restrooms were clean but older and could use a little sprucing up. One washer and dryer laundry room also available for campers. Sites are asphalt relatively level. Senior and military rates. Discount for off season camping too.
Fishing, boating, Hiking trails and Graham Cave to keep you busy during your visit.

Nothing special. Uneven campsites. I did however love the hiking trails in park.
Park was pretty empty. Humidity was high, temperatures higher.

Very hilly and sharp turns. Took several tries to get into tarred spot between trees. Spots are not level. Not many people here. Have fan on so we can’t hear I-70 traffic. But so much better than RV parks right near I-70.

Good place to stay. Even though it's close to the freeway it isn't noisy. Sites are paved but not level. 30 amp available at the electric sites, but no water hookup. You can fill your water tank near the dump station. Even though it says that reservations are required, they are not. The office at the entrance to the park does not handle camp stays. You have to go see the campground host. All sites have the red sign on them that says this site is occupied, but only the ones with a paper tag with a date on it are this ones with reservations. Only credit / debit accepted, probably due to covid.

Camo ground was not very full on a Tuesday night. The state website notes the slope on the sites and this should be reviewed for your rig. We have a 34' MH and selected the flattest available 1.2"/10' and still used a lot of blocks. The sites are either no hook ups or electric only. 30 amp. The cave is a short walk not a lot to see but interesting. Lots of hiking trails. Close to freeway 2 mile drive but no noise at camground.

Only used park as stop over. Park is beautiful. Site was clean and level. Restrooms needed attention: ran out of toilet paper though camp was almost deserted. Sink area was dirty and wet. Showers have no benches or hooks inside individual stalls. Only a shower caddy inside each stall and a long bench outside the stalls.

This was a one night stop over. Very beautiful park, lots of hills and trees. Our original site was very un-level side to side and the host was very accommodating allowing us to move. Site 45 is back in on pavement. It was still un-level but manageable. 30 amp electric only, fill water, dump station and bathhouse on site. Not far from I-70 but minimal road noise. All in all a lovely state park.

Don’t let any of the reviews fool you-this park is near the freeway and highway noise is very noticeable. Not like staying at a rest area, but certainly not a quiet getaway. The campground is heavily wooded and clean, but hasn’t been updated recently. The host was great, friendly and quickly dealt with any issues we had. We use our own bathroom in our camper, but the shower house looked clean and functional. The dump station is pretty basic. We liked site 45, it backed to the woods and was extra wide thanks to the nearby trail head. Paved, but not level, either side to side or front to back. Big rigs might have trouble with the curvy road and trees.
