The entertainment and dining complex features a public aquarium boasting more than a million gallons of underwater exhibits that highlight fascinating ecosystems around the world. Downtown Aquarium houses over 500 species of animals, the interactive Stingray Reef touch tank, Aquarium Restaurant, Dive Lounge, the Nautilus Ballroom and amusements for the entire family. With a full-service restaurant, an upscale bar, a fully equipped ballroom, aquatic & geographic exhibits and shopping, Downtown Aquarium has it all!
A feat of blending immersive theater and science. For stuffy grownups it might be trite, but for anyone for whom magic still lives this should be a treat worth more than admission. No, it doesn't feel academic; it's not supposed to. There's *a lot* to learn, though, and it definitely raised our enthusiasm for learning about aquatic life. The employees really seemed glad to be there. Bring kids, see the mermaids, have lunch (pretty good, not great, and a little pricey, but at a venue that's to be expected), and don't have a schedule nor agenda, bring home a fuzzy octopus (because you've always wanted to sleep with one). Our visit was definitely a top highlight of our trip.
It was okay. I'm not sure if it was worth 20 dollars per person (and 25 at the end of the trip if you want to get the pictures they take of you at the start). The Omaha Zoo has pretty much the same to offer and much more for only 15. Still, it's not a bad place to visit. You get to see all sorts of fish and even feed stingrays.
This was a pretty cool place! They have mermaids!
Me and my boys love going to this place. We live near by and we bought a membership we go in the evening very nice. Wow sea life comes alive at night.
