We had a buffet of Southern fried chicken, sweet potatoes, green beans with smoked turkey, corn bread, and red velvet waffles! It was the BEST fried chicken I have ever eaten! The red velvet waffles have cream cheese syrup with pecans were amazing! We will go back for the wonderful food and warm hospitality!!! A must when you are in Des Moines!

Some of the best food I've had in a long time!
Fried Chicken, Catfish, Mashed Potatoes, Red Beans & Rice ( with sausage and smoked turkey ) OMG delicious! Chicken Creole, Cornbread, and the best Mac&Cheese I've ever had!
Live music in the background was a very pleasant and a nice surprise.
The owners really seemed to care about the food and the customers...
UPDATE: We've been here about five times now..always amazing and friendly!!

The restaurant has a great, modern and refreshing atmosphere to it. Thanks to wall-to-ceiling glass, the whole dining room is exposed which gives the place tons of natural lighting. The kitchen is slightly exposed too which lets the flavors of fresh fried chicken leak out into the dining room area. The floor is concrete, and the tables were a modern style too.
