Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on November 04, 2022Our rate reflects the Passport America discount of $26 a night for up to 7 nights, and I reserved and extended our stay via a quick easy phone call. We aren't normally overly exciting with commercial camping, but we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this park ended up feeling. My biggest complaint is the lack of good dog walking/bathroom areas, but there is a dog park.
We had a large, level, pull-through site, and while the park is packed snug with homes, we didn't have trouble getting in or out. While we had neighbors on both sides, our site included an ample amount of space, and we made use of the outdoor patio with visiting guests on multiple nights. This place is definitely a commercial park, and I wish they had included a little more room for walking (there aren't sidewalks), especially with a dog. However, we didn't feel stuffed in, and when we did interact with neighbors and permanent residence, everyone was very friendly. Our utilities were well placed and worked fine, and the resort offers a number of perks that we didn't use... pool, laundry, gym, group activities, tennis, etc.
This CG is a nearby to Palm Springs (maybe 20 minutes?), and there are other amenities, grocery, USPS, etc, etc within about 15 minutes drive. Verizon worked fine here without the booster.

We're here over the New Years' holiday. The weather is glorious, 40's at night, 60's during the day.
The resort seems to be largely a community of retired people from the US (Washington, Nevada, California) and a seemingly large contingent of Canadians. Some own, some rent, tiny homes or trailer homes for a season.
The sites in the Paradise Loop (the inexpensive seats), where we're located, are a mixture of tiny homes and RV back-in sites. Each has a full hook up with a cement patio. They are very close to each other. We were initially parked next to a fifth-wheel and a tiny home, but our electrical hookup was not functioning properly.
After being without power for the first few days and after 3 different visits to the office and a call to get assistance New Years' Day evening as we were trying to prepare dinner, we were offered another spot. We moved.
After moving, I went to the office to inquire what, if anything, all our inconvenience warranted. I was told that even though their stealthy (Christa's words) maintenance crew had been out at least three times to check the power, they could not replicate a problem, ergo, there must be a problem with our RV. I mentioned I'd not been called or contacted in any way by maintenance (I know, duh, they're stealthy) and had been outside awaiting them since my latest complaint this morning.
Christa never told me why maintenance would not have spoken to me about the power problem when I was readily available outside our RV to help solve our problem. When I told her they had lied to her about showing up at our site, she became visibly agitated. I told her I was right about no one showing up at which point she invited me to enjoy the rest of my stay, told me the maintenance crew was trustworthy and invited me, in front of several people checking in, not to come back. We're not a good fit for everyone, she explained. And besides, you say you're always right, she said. Not always, I told her, but this time, I was. No problem, we agree I shouldn't come back. Fool me once..., and so much for cordial customer service.
Christa has promised to reimburse us for one night's stay. A nice gesture despite her belligerence.
If you choose to come here, the clubhouse areas are vey nice with hot tubs powered by hot springs and heated pools, both family and adult. The setting is also spectacular with great Palm trees and mountains all around, some snow capped.
The photos above are all resort photos and while nice don't exactly tell the tale. I've taken a few around to assist.

Needed a place, while they figure out what is what for a 3 wk per gov.
Passport America says $26 a night standard site. But asked for rates before and $40 was standard per night. $20 is a big help for Passport discount. Everything is closed pools etc. as far as I know but I have not wandered out of my site. Jan normal rates change but nothing normal about 2020. Grateful for the spot. I have metro pcs/ t mobile no problems.

This is pretty much a mobile home park with some RV spaces. That said, everyone I met was very friendly and the place is nice and clean. Not as many snow birds this year because of covid. Sites are wide and if you get one with gravel, not dusty when the wind blows. Great rates this year. We live an hour and a half away in the cold mountains, so we may make this a regular spot in the winter. We really enjoyed the many pools with different temperatures. Not close to town (15-20 minutes) but who wants to camp in town? So that's actually a plus.
Edit: We liked it so much, we booked all next winter. 3 months. I guess we are officially snow birds now!

This park was beautiful and the best part were the MANY naturally heated mineral springs pools (still open with COVID craziness). Zero sulfur smell at all, they were wonderful. Our spot itself was tight as was getting to it on the small streets within the park, but at least had a pull through option for us. Honestly we chose this one from the many options in the area because it was half-off the nightly rate through passport America. Only downside is Desert Hot Springs is very windy- the whole town. Feels pretty much like being in a wind tunnel most of the time. But for the price and proximity to Palm Springs/Palm Desert and Joshua Tree I would still recommend! Friendly staff that were more than accommodating with quick response. Free wifi worked great too, which was nice since they are still working on AT&T cell service- none at all (they said Verizon was fine). Overall would visit again to save the money on the nightly rate.

We stayed here in March of 2021. We stayed at half price with our Passport America discount.
This campground has amazing pools and hot tubs that are naturally heated and comes out of the ground at 115 degrees. When you are not swimming or soaking, enjoy the walking path that winds through the middle of the campground. If you have a dog you will appreciate the off leash dog park with grass. The mountain views are spectacular as well.
The campground is a little cramped and cell service is mostly non-existent. That's okay, you are going to want to spend your time in the pools and hot tubs anyway.

Check in was super easy and the rental/hospitality staff are nice. There are two clubhouses and pools areas with multiple mineral pools that are different temperatures. It’s mainly a manufactured homes community, but still space for RVs of any size. The secure wifi is VERY spotty and doesn’t really work. The residents and owners were all friendly and loved chatting with all the visitors. The showers and bathrooms are SUPER clean and have mineral showers. It’s pricey, but a nice, quiet stay. I accidentally went in the sales office and the man handling sales was wildly rude, but that was my only negative interaction.

Park is OK. Love the mineral pools. Lots to do.
However, somebody had a car stolen during daylight last week, and we had a high end mountain bike stolen last night. Never heard of theft in an RV park, especially one that requires a security gate code for entrance. Management appears to want to keep all of this quiet, when they should have all of the guests on high alert.

I am purposely leaving a 3 star review even though we end up enjoying our stay very much.
I want all RVrs to know that this isn’t really an RV park. This is a mobile home community that rents empty mobile home pads as RV resort. After paying $75 per night we arrived to find out a normal RV slot was in fact a stall between, behind, and surrounded by mobile homes and ongoing construction noise.
The “RV” pad was messy and seemed like a derelict skid row campsite surrounded by tiny home AC units and scruffy bushes. We complained immediately and got upgraded to a premium RV site. It seemed like there are actually very few RV sites in total here.
All this being said, we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, Hot Springs and friendly atmosphere of the resort, and would potentially go back, even knowing what we know now. You might want to be very specific about which site you are booking so you don’t end up in the shanty town.
