A papusa is sort of like a love-child of a crepe and a tamale. This Salvadoran national dish is a thick, handmade corn tortilla stuffed with cheese or more. Restaurante Salvadoreño serves the best papusa in Detroit. Standouts on the menu are tamales of chicken, spicy pork or corn. These are the rectangular, moist kind, well-stuffed, not the dry cylinders that are much more common in Mexicantown.
