“Kampgrounds of America”
Fish for browns and rainbows in Beaverhead River, a blue-ribbon stream bordering this campground, with mountain views in every direction. Take in views of three mountain ranges from the pool while the kids ride around on KOA's banana bikes. Let Fido get some exercise in the fenced dog run. Nearby, visit four sites along the trail forged by explorers Lewis and Clark. Hike, fish and tour a ghost town at Bannack State Park. Drive east to Yellowstone National Park, passing through the frontier gold camp of Virginia City. Northwest of Dillon, hunt for crystals at Crystal Park. On Labor Day weekend, Dillon welcomes a professional rodeo. Extra charge for additional guests (adults and children) at Dillon KOA. Pool: June 15 - September 5. Max pull thru: 120 feet. Your hosts: Bob and Pam.

Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 05, 2020It’s not big or flashy and doesn’t have a bunch of activities, but it’s a nice smaller campground. Clean and well kept with good shade. The owners are really friendly. Few things I didn’t like were the restrooms/showers could use a remodel, the mosquitos were a little excessive and not all sites have a fire pit. Other than that, I’d definitely stop here again if passing through and needed to stay a night or two.

We had partial hookups for 47. Full was 69. This isn’t a bad looking park but not worth 47 or 69. There is a pool and one horseshoe area. A little creek in the back that people fish in. We stayed over the 4th of July. It says no fireworks and we have pets that get scared 😱. So we were glad of that policy. Well, the evening got here before even dark and back behind our RV there was a field that people started firing off not little cute fireworks but huge loud shells that shook our RV and stressed us and the pets out all night until 11 pm. There were staff back there also so it wasn’t like they were not on property and unaware. Really turned me off of ever staying there again. Not to mention the sites were pretty close. We heard everything said and done next door. They and their dog was right at our door as well as multiple grandchildren that stayed a few sites down. I’ll post a pic of how close we were. The showers were very small and dirty. Hair and dirt in shower and water all over floor and running out of stall into the main area. Roads are bad going way back in to where the park is located. The sites are gravel with grass in between. The gravel isn’t hard packed so a day or two after leveling the rig was crooked as it settled into the gravel. There was also a dog barking all day long. Nothing said or done about that. Again against their policy.

This is no longer a KOA but called Beaverhead River RV Park. Rate included week and military discounts for pull-thru, 30-amp FHU site, fairly level on gravel under huge shade tree. Very nice staff. Didn't visit bathrooms/showers; pool is closed for the season. This campground has one of the best dog runs/parks we've ever used: very large, fenced in, shaded and grassy. We were here over July 4th weekend and there were plenty of fireworks and firecrackers being set off in the evenings, but they didn't go on all night. Fairly quiet for a holiday weekend. Occasional daytime train noise from downtown, none at night. Wi-fi here was another plus but our site was fairly close to the office. AT&T off and on was good, Verizon a little less so. Other campers walked Back and forth through our site constantly, but this wasn't the campground's fault. We'd stay again.

We were just passing through, taking I-15 South through Montana in early October, 2021. The site was very narrow with another site right next to it. Fortunately being the off-season, no one else showed up in that site. Price was a little steep even with the Good Sam discount, but we were not in a position to shop around since we had booked it earlier that day.
The camp hostess was very nice and they did have a very nice, large dog run area.
