“diner lovers' dream!”
The Dor-Stop Restaurant is a “diner’s lover’s dream”, its renowned home-style cooking as featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. A family restaurant owned and operated by Bob and Vicki Lawhorne for 25 years, this beloved Dormont diner is located on a spacious airy corner at 1430 Potomac Avenue. Pick a booth or a table and enjoy one of Dor-Stop’s original heart-warming meals, including our World Famous Hot Cakes or a Meatloaf Melt Sandwich w/Potato Pancakes.
Sure, Dormont (and to a greater extent, Pittsburgh) have their fair share of diners and breakfast spots all of which being amazing. However, the Dor-Stop takes the (pan)cake. You'll find typical breakfast oriented diner fare, with the occasional specialty pancake that never disappoints. My current favorite is the pineapple upside down cake pancake.
Parking is all on the street, and there's a municipal lot just up the road. If you're here on a Sunday no worries, parking is free!
