“in the heart of the renowned steelhead and salmon drifts of the Trinity River”
Historic Indian Creek Lodge is nestled in the mountains just 35 miles west of Redding and I-5 in the heart of the renowned steelhead and salmon drifts of the Trinity River. The charming gold rush town of Weaverville and trailheads into the Trinity Alps Wilderness are just a few miles away. While the Lodge is best known as headquarters for world class fishing for Chinook salmon, steelhead, and German brown trout, it boasts many other attractions for guests year around. Summer months bring bright sunny days and cool mountain nights. Family summer activities can include rafting on the river, hiking, gold panning, lounging by the pool, barbequeing, ping pong, volleyball, badminton and horseshoes as well as great fishing (check out some of our guest comments from family vacations). Spring and fall are also beautiful times of year in the mountains, and of course late fall and winter bring steelhead season when fishing is the name of the game.
