“Angels dwell among our vines”
The Finger Lakes harken all visitors to bask in the beauty of New York state's own Garden of Eden. From these fruitful lands grow grapes that are crafted, vintage after vintage, into world class wines. One taste of our Finger Lakes wine will convince you that angels dwell among our vines, and guide the hands of our winemaker.A metamorphosis is underway at Villa Bellangelo, and we hope you visit us frequently, both online and in person. We craft fine Finger Lakes wines, and offer truly remarkable views of Seneca Lake from our tasting room. Villa Bellangelo, founded in 2002 by the Litterio family, is a new Finger Lakes winery with a vision of the future. Built on the site of the oldest vineyard in Yates County (circa 1866), Villa Bellangelo blends traditional European and modern American winemaking methods to produce some of the areas best wines. Italian varietals and blends comprise the portfolio of wines made utilizing techniques passed down from generations, stretching back to winery president, Michael Litterio's Italian roots. The region’s finest grapes go into making Villa Bellangelo Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir and Moscato. Also featured are three proprietary blends Francesca Rossa, Bella Bianca and Sophia Dry Rosé, each named for one of his three daughters. Italian-American traditions and values are the cornerstone of the winery and provide the owners with the inspiration to produce a truly unique environment. The climate controlled tasting room offers visitors a breathtaking view of Lake Seneca and surrounding vineyards. Guests can relax in our European garden or play a little bocce ball. Villa Bellangelo means “Home of the Beautiful Angel” in Italian and Litterio believes that as much as man tries to control the winemaking process, a little help from the angels is essential to make a truly great wine.
