Running the entire length of the Wallowa Mountains is the 361,000 acre Eagle Cap Wilderness, Wallowa Mountain Outfitters calls home. In this region there are four main river tributary's, over fifty high mountain lakes- including the highest lake in Oregon, and over five hundred miles of trails. This diverse country ranges in elevation from the 3,500 foot Minam River Canyon with its ancient Ponderosa pine forests, to the majestic 9,845 foot Matterhorn Peak. While riding through this beautiful country you may see Elk, Mule Deer, Big Horn Sheep, Mountain Goat, Black Bear, Wolves and even a Moose.
