“hip locavore restaurant”
Welcome to Watt's Grocery, a extension of Chef Amy Tornquists' home & table. Now open! With roots firmly planted in North Carolina, Watts Grocery takes its name from the Watts-Hillandale neighborhood where Amy has fond childhood memories and the Watts St. Grocery, a favorite stop for candy and snacks in Trinity Park in her childhood. Featuring her favorite local foods by the forkful - many raised, caught, smoked, pickled, or cured within a two-hour radius. Amy weaves them into her cooking and the result is an updated, distinctive take on North Carolina cuisine.
A classic. Although it's a bit on the expensive side, it's worth it to bring family/friends when they come. All the food is locally sourced and it has a great ambiance.
