The East Jordan Portside Art & Historical Museum maintains Elm Pointe, the original site of a pioneer homestead that was granted to the city by owners Dr. and Mrs. George Westgate in 1972. The main floor of the lodge houses artifacts from lumbering era, an agricultural exhibit, E.J. & Southern Railroad memorabilia, and a salute to the military and local manufacturing. Adjacent to the museum is the Cygred Riley Art Gallery with collection of Purchase Prize paintings from annual Portside Arts Fair. There is an additional historical display in the East Jordan City Hall. Open June through September.
