“great site for outdoor activities”
Flaming Geyser State Park is a 480-acre day-use park with more than three miles of freshwater shoreline on the Green River. The park's most unique feature is its "geysers" (methane seeps). Park activities include whitewater rafting and model airplane flying.
Having been there in mid June of 2014 I can't recommend going there for either of it's "Geysers". I use the term geyser in sarcasm because they are anything but that. The bubbling geyser is a few bubbles rising out of a small mud pit up the trail and the flaming geyser is no more than a barrel buried in the ground emitting a small flame and no water around it at all. Perhaps at other time in the year its more exciting but at the very least, during the month of June, it is certainly not worth the $10 admission price.
