The mission of the Clarke Historical Museum is the acquisition, preservation and educational display of objects relating to the history of Eureka and Humboldt County, in order to further aprreciation by residents, visitors and school children of the area's rich and diverse heritage, and in doing so to promote increased visitation to our historic region. The Clarke Historical Museum's Native American Wing features a world-recognized collection of Northwestern Native American baskets, ceremonial regalia, stone tools and projectile points. In addition to our extensive collection of local Native American artifacts, we also boast a small assemblage of Alaskan, Plains, and Southwestern Native American artifacts.
