“Taking burgers seriously”
We use only American beef– USDA choice chuck. Never frozen. We cut and grind the beef for our burgers every morning, right here in the restaurant. We handle it gently and don’t over-work it. Nothing’s added to it until we shake some salt and pepper onto the meat as it cooks. That’s it. We’re also pleased to offer locally-raised and/or grass fed beef as an upgrade option. All of the local farms we purchase from adhere to humane, sustainable, and natural practices, so do not contain any growth hormones or antibiotics.
This is one of those few places where the hype (and the long line that comes with it) is justified. The burgers are delightful, but it's the fries that steal the show here. Handcut and delicious to the last bite, these tasty morsels of goodness come plain or in delectable varieties such as buffalo, lobster, and chili. One order is definitely enough to feed two, especially if you are having burgers. The shakes are also great, particularly Nutella. Carve out a solid chunk of your day for this meal and the nap that you'll need after you've finished the feast.
Edzo's is THE burger place in Evanston--maybe all of Chicago's northern suburbs. The burgers are huge and delicious and made with loving care. Also get their five dollar nutella milkshake (only costs $4) and get adventurous with their fries--angry fries are my favorite, but all of them are incredible.
This no-frills fast food shop turns out juicy griddled burgers ($6.49 for a double) made with beef that's butchered and ground in-house daily. Since burgers demand a side of fries, snag some smothered in cheese, bacon, scallions and sour cream ($5.19) and a creamy maple milkshake ($4.50) for your sweet tooth.
