“High-altitude growing”
Perry Creek Winery specializes in Rhone varietals and Zinfandels grown at the unusually high altitude of 2401 feet. They are well known for producing outstanding Californian wines with a modern European twist. The winery’s 40 acres of prime vineyards are located in the Fair Play Appellation which has an average elevation of 2500 feet and a soil composition of decomposed granite. With its balanced microclimate and unusual growing conditions they are able to produce premium grapes with a flavor distinctive of the region. The Fair Play Farms vineyard planted in 1999 is one of the best in the entire Sierra Foothills region.
