“giving you your money's worth without cutting corners”
This establishment was built as a barbecue lodge in 1952 in Highland Village, Fayetteville's first shopping center. In 1958, with the addition of the open hearth and beautiful copper hood, it became a steak house. By 1960 it again changed hands and became an Italian restaurant. December 13, 1963, Chris Poulos purchased the business and returned it to its "good old American" Steak House status, with one goal in mind, "to give you your money's worth ...without cutting corners or quality." In 1982, after 2 years apprenticeship,Greg Kalevas became a business partner. In 1987 Luke Poulos, whogrew up in the Steak House, became a third business partner.
