“view some of the most feared animals in North America”
L-Bar-T Bison Ranch provides the opportunity to view some of the most feared animals in North America, the Great North American Plains Bison. One of the most acclaimed ranches of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, the ranch has approximately 20 bison and offer tours by appointment and a gift shop which sells fresh buffalo meat, jerky and other food and gift items. All our animals are checked regularly by a veterinarian to keep them in prime health. Bison are very strong and need little in the way of medical intervention. Birthing is done in the spring, after nine month gestation. Calves are born weighing 45 to 65 pounds and gold in color with no hump. By the time they are three months old, they are turning brown and starting a hump.
