“a century of charm and charisma!”
Rich history and unique character are rarely used adjectives to describe taverns in this day and age of wild neon establishments and sports bars. What’s even more rare is a full century of age old legend and lore in any business, much less a tavern or bar. The moment you walk in the Town Pump that is exactly what you feel…legend. Owned and operated by Jake Latendresse, this little tavern is a one of a kind hot spot. Like something you would see in an old spaghetti western movie, this place has aged with grace. If only the walls could talk, which might very well be the only way to get the true core history of the Town Pump. With it’s charm and charisma, it attracts folks from the early days (the ones that are still alive) through each decade of loyalists…the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s all the way through present day. Incidentally, 2009 marks the Town Pump’s 100th year of business. That’s right…a century!
