“fresh, quality authentic food”
Opened in 1999, the northeast Fort Wayne restaurant continues to garner rave reviews from customers who appreciate Asakusa’s hallmarks: Fresh, quality food. A relaxed, upscale atmosphere. Subdued lighting and tranquil music. Southwest Fort Wayne welcomed Asakusa in May, when owner Michelle Chiang opened a second restaurant on W. Jefferson Boulevard. Although basic elements — menu selections and ambience –– remain the same, Chiang said a few things are different, including the addition of banquette seating. “The interior and style are different than north, and because we have more space here, we’re able to store and serve more wine. The dining area southwest is more open, not as intimate, and we’re able to seat larger parties.”
