“known for legendary hamburgers”
Dutch’s Hamburgers, a good ol’ neighborhood joint, opened in the spring of 2007 at 3009 S. University Dr., in Fort Worth, Texas. The burger-and-beer café sits in a historic building next to the longtime TCU Theater, in the former Jon’s Grille space, facing the main Texas Christian University campus. The name Dutch’s was chosen to combine plenty of Fort Worth and TCU heritage for the new college café; The restaurant namesake is Leo “Dutch” Meyer, a TCU grad who became the most successful football coach in Horned Frog history. Along with various burger options- including all-natural beef patties, a chicken burger, and a veggie burger- Dutch’s offers hand cut fries, hand dipped onion rings, great salads, nachos and chips, griddled sandwiches, and gourmet hot dogs. Dutch’s is a comfortable place for students, friends, family, and neighbors to hang out and eat simple hand-made food. With a seating capacity of about 100, Dutch’s has a clean, country look from a bygone era. Ther’s a long shotgun counter/bar fronted by classic chrome barstools with cushy, wine-colored seats. The barstools also provide seating along the front window, overlooking University Drive. Light khaki-green wainscoting flows along the walls, with green-and-white detail above. The stainless-steal open kitchen is the focal point in the main dining room; ceiling fans and soft lighting hang from the vintage tin ceiling; and a big wooden table invites community seating in the big dining area.

Amazing burgers. Big, juicy burger patty seasoned and cooked to perfection. They use a bun that's very similar to Hawaiian rolls, so it adds a unique sweetness to the sandwich. There is a nice... Read more
