“offering tent sites, rv spots, and cabins”
Imagine waking up to the beautiful view of Pikes Peak (14,115 feet above sea level), the most visited mountain in North America. Visit Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds (try the Bat-a-Pult ride!), and other area attractions. Stay in a fully equipped Cabin, pitch a tent or pull into an RV Site (including extra-large sites). If you are planning a rally or family reunion, this KOA has a hall for those scrumptious potlucks or have them catered by the staff. During the summer, enjoy our splash park, take a dip in the heated pool, or relax in the hot tub. Pets will have a great time being with their families, meeting new dogs, running in the dog park, or trying out the agility park. With so many things to do at KOA and in the area, you will want to stay as long as you can! The campground staff looks forward to seeing you. Pool: Open Year Round. Max pull thru 84 feet.

Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on June 02, 2023Noise level was intolerable. Had to buy a sound machine to sleep at night and had it turned up highest level. We stayed a week and won’t go back again. Laundry room was clean but some thoughtless person didn’t clean the dryer filter loaded with cat hair! We were placed in row 1, right next to the main highway (I-25). Train nearby too for late night whistle blowing fun ( my cousin Vinny ) Did I mention the shooting range nearby ?? I am a big 2nd amendment fan but hearing it all day long was a bit much. Let’s see...what about being parked directly under electric high wires? Needless to say this was a rough week for hubby and me. We did lots of touristy stuff which is why I gave the place 1 Star. You can get on and off the highway quickly to get to Colorado Springs, Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods etc. Not cheap either. Good playground for kids but we don’t have any. If you have to stay refuse to be in the row nearest the highway. Sure wish we did.

This KOA is right next to I -25 and is very loud in the spaces closest to the road. The traffic noise never stops at night. If you stay here, ask for a site all the way opposite the entrance by the river. The hosts are incredibly nice. Many people seemed to be living at this facility and their sites were a little run down/cluttered.

We have visited this location on numerous occasions and various sites. All were great from the Concrete patio To the gravel sites. The laundry and restaurants were cleaned often. Enjoyed our stay here. Great for kids with a lot of family friendly activities on the weekend. However, make sure to ask for a site close to the river to avoid the highway traffic noise.

We stayed here for 5 days. WE loved the activities for kids, There was a pool, water park, hot tub, bounce pads, bikes, games etc. Yes you can hear the highway noises, however it's a white noise and we never had any issues getting sleep. It was 15 minutes from Colorado Springs and easy access to Pikes Peak and Garden of the gods. We would stay here again. The staff was helpful and friendly, they escorted you to your sites.

What a great looking KOA with a water park and tons of amenities and activities! Unfortunately the outwards looks can be deceptive. Up close almost everything was broken and undermaintained. WiFi worked for a few hours our first day, never working again. The splash pad and pool were filthy with brown water collecting in low points and so many things floating in it and none NONE of the accessory interactive features like the water shooters or fun parts for little kids. The hot tub was closed. The jump pad had more than half of the tie down points disconnected, but was open for use most of the time. The bubbles platform was closed and none of the horseshoe, cornhole, or other areas had their items out for use. Occasionally staff would come out and throw 2 liter bottles of soda pop at the kids, which was both unhealthy and kind of bizarre. They offered games and prizes inside their receation hall, which I think we can just call a Covid transfer room full of unvaccinated kids from hotspot states.
The rv pad was actually rather nice with a good patch of weeds between campsites, table, and working water, power, and sewer hookups.

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing park than this is not for you. If you want a fun, activity packed park with lots of amenities than you will love this place. Number one draw for us was the huge water park that is included in your stay. The kids loved it and would have stayed in it all day. They have a decent pool and nice hot tub. They also have fun kid activities like hay rides, bubble parties, and movies. Lots of fun and will keep your kiddos busy. Our site was a pull through which was just long enough for our TT and my truck. Decent amount of space between us and our neighbors. Spot was flat and free cable. They pick up trash every morning which was nice. Park is definitely pricy, but you get a lot. We wouldnt stay if we didnt have kids, but this was their favorite rv park ever. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA Holiday in a Travel Trailer.

The campground itself is fine. Lots of amenities for families with children. Even a take out restaurant on-site. Sites are gravel but fairly level with a decent amount of space between them.
BUT the campground sits literally right next to Interstate 25 and it is quite busy 24 hours a day. I would not recommend this place for any light sleepers.

Arrival - Booked online so, very easy.
Tips - If you can book the creekside sites away from I-25 you will probably have a better experience.
Favorites - Activities for kids, easy to navigate sites, close to Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs.
Negatives - Front office inability to accommodate extended stay, we had to move sites, traffic noise, and maintenance crew vulturing close to the 1100 check-out time (actually waited for us to hitch and leave) to move to another site within the park. I do understand the need to turn over the sites quickly but, no one occupied our site until after the usual 1400 hrs check-in time. Seemed a little aggressive and unneeded.

Yes Colorado Springs is expensive and good for tourist visits. This park is kind of run down though. If you don’t have kids I would recommend the Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Here: Crowded sites, no lawns. Dirt and gravel everywhere. On Fountain Creek, but it runs down at the bottom of a cliff, no access. Staff and work campers friendly.

We met another family here, and it was a great campground just for catching up and the kids all playing and having fun. The price was steep, but they liked the water park, so that was worth it. Also, they were able to get us nice concrete pads side by side.
