“A good place to sit and tell Civil War ghost stories”

The large stone outcropping of granite boulders known as Devils Den in Gettysburg is a well-loved tourist spot for ghost hunters and playful children, although Gettysburg national park regulations prohibit dangerous climbing. It always feels cool and damp there between the rocks, no matter how hot the day is, so it's a good place to sit and tell Civil War ghost stories. The rock formation is overshadowed by Little Round Top just across theValley of Death and Bloody Run. It's a spot on your visit where you will have to get out and walk around to appreciate the full effect and why it was such an important location in the battle of Gettysburg.

Quite possibly the most interesting area of all the battle fields. Walking among these rocks is one place you can definitely feel the intensity of what the war must have been like.

It's so fun coming here with friends- just being able to climb around on all the rocks and you don't need to be a rockclimber to do it
