“Restaurant in Gettysburg, PA!”
A tribute to Edward Stewart Plank (aka: Gettysburg Eddie), Gettysburg's native son and baseball hall of famer. Stop in to learn more about Gettysburg Eddie and the era in which he played baseball. Also, visit our upstairs room; a tribute to 19th Century Base Ball and the "Elkton Eclipse" who introduced this new annual event to Gettysburg. Gettysburg Eddie’s is a Gettysburg restaurant that has something for everyone from burgers to a full dinner menu. We feature homemade soups, a variety of salad sensations and a wide variety of sandwiches. Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Eddie Plank was born 10 years following the Civil War on his family’s farm north of Gettysburg. Although Plank would eventually become the first major league southpaw to win 300 games, he is rarely mentioned with other great players of his era. Our mission is to provide a tribute to Gettysburg’s legendary son and the era in which he pitched.
Excellent meal after a full day touring the ares. Crab soup was excellent. Nachos as an appetizer were piled high with fresh ingredients. Grinder with fries was excellent as was the Mexican salad. The waitstaff Debbie was friendly, attentive, and the entire meal was great. We used a 10% off coupon brochure we picked up from the photo place a few doors down when we stopped there to get old time photos made.
