“Hot spring vapor caverns”

Yampah Spa Vapor Caves are natural underground steam baths located in the historic hot springs mountain retreat of Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Yampah Spa, The Hot Springs Vapor Caves utilizes the hot mineral waters, naturally high in sulphur, nitrate, zinc and potassium and 30 other therapeutic minerals to enhance a World-Class Day Spa with all of the comforts you would expect. Body treatments combined with a steam in the caves or a Natural Geothermal Thermal Mineral Bath have long been a favorite activity for couples and friends visiting Glenwood Springs. The Spa provides the perfect compliment to outdoor recreation any season of the year.

Friendly and kind staff will explain the ways of the spring for you. I recommend you bring a quarter for the lockers and, if coming in the winter, have your swimsuit in underneath your gear and a change for after- super small changing rooms but you can change back easier in the bathroom. Don't forget to ask for flip flops if you forget to bring your own!

I got the body detox treatment and it was amazing, all the spa treatments include the day pass for the caves. The staff is super friendly. i went on a Saturday first thing in the morning and I noticed that by the time I left it was starting to get really crowded; by 1 it was hard to get a seat in the solarium.

$12 gets you an all day steam pass for the caves, but you'll only need a 30 minute session to really get a sweat on and feel pretty refreshed. Go to the caves at the back for more heat, the front ones are a little cooler. There is a chill-out solarium for you to relax in too.

Good for the price and a unique experience that left me feeling relaxed and refreshed. Locker rooms are available but everyone there is a little free with their bodies so if that bothers you then plan on not using the locker rooms to change or store your stuff. Drink plenty of water and it's best to bring some kind of flip-flop or water shoes that you can wear down in the caves; the stair and floor can get a little slippery.

You must do this. Just get the vapor caves pass and a locker and it is well worth it. There is a sun room, an outdoor cooling off area, locker rooms, showers, all the massage stuff, and of course the caves itself which are subterranean. The caves are separated into hot and very hot. There's buckets down below that you can fill with cold water. So relaxing.
