“European and Native American collections”
Come explore Maryhill Museum of Art’s world-class collection of art ranging from early 20th century European works to an extensive Native American collection.
Set on a stunning 5,300-acre site overlooking the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Maryhill Museum of Art is one of the Pacific Northwest’s most fascinating cultural destinations and located just 100 miles east of Portland, Oregon.
On permanent view are 80 works by Auguste Rodin, European and American paintings, art and artifacts from Queen Marie of Romania, Orthodox icons, unique chess sets from around the world, and the renowned Théâtre de la Mode. The American Indian collection includes objects from prehistoric through contemporary.
This is a whole day trip. Pack a lunch and enjoy the outdoor art. Amazing museum with way more then just local history. They offer a kid area. However, more appreciate by older kids 8 up. It is very big and there is a lot to see, little would likely get board.
Beautiful architecture and setting. I could have spent a long, long time here.
