“enjoy the view!”
A day trip to Desert View is a must on any Grand Canyon Itinerary. After spending your morning climbing the stairs of Mary Jane Colter’s famous Watch Tower, you are probably ready for a tasty bite to eat before continuing on your adventure. Stop by the Desert View Snack Bar. It is located in the Trading Post. Here you can satisfy your appetite with a bowl of hot soup or fresh chili. There are also hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and salads. But the signature dish is the Navajo Taco. No trip to the Southwest would be complete without this local specialty. You can also find desserts as well as hot and cold beverages.
This is about a 30 minute drive for food that is not that great. The view at this area is worth the drive, but the food not so much. It's more of a mini cafeteria with very little room to sit. I wouldn't suggest it as a place to eat.
