“a park for all ages”
There are new, blue "Riverside Park" street signs up to show the way to the Riverside Park; just follow the signs for a day of recreation enjoyment. Visit the Park and see the newest Riverside Park entry sign. The beautifully painted sign was, like the one across from the Pines restaurant, painted by a local artisan, Pamela Lawson. The Hank Turcotte Horseshoe Center is ready for those who enjoy a challenging game of horseshoe tossing. Thanks to the donation by the Raymond Area Rotary, there are five new picnic tables being put in around the horseshoe center. The Park is always looking for tables and benches to be donated to be put along the trails and scenic areas of the Park. The Riverside Park folks are looking for interested gardeners to help the Public Gardens grow. If you have little area around your home, start your own garden at the Park. Would you like to see a loved one be remembered with something living? The Riverside Park Committee is looking for individuals, families, or groups who would like to "Adopt the Park" to help keep the tables, benches, and trails in good repair, do general cleanup of the natural surroundings on both parts of the Park, help develop more picnic areas, or generally help the Riverside Park develop into a great Town Park.
